Absolutely Everything!

Several days ago I decided it was time to cash in the several scratch tickets I had taking up space in my purse.  Once at the store, I decided to just reinvest my winnings and purchase more scratch tickets, and boy am I glad I did.  I am pleased to say that I hit a “fun” amount of money…..and decided that I would spend it on more art supplies.   I know I mentioned before about this store I love and I have to say it again, it’s fantastic!!  The staff is knowledgable, willing to answer questions, and help in any way.   What is the name of the store??  It’s ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING  

My basket was getting heavy so my dh carried it and followed me around to catch the next thing I threw into it.  When all was said and done….. I was smiling from ear to ear as well as he.  Him…because he was finally able to put the basket down…. me, because I couldn’t believe I was fortunate enough to shop till I dropped.

It was a gooooood day!!

I’m working against myself I think.. LOL  I should be getting ready for show I’ll be vending at but, I tend to want to work on other art pieces.  My muse is back and I’m unstoppable.

Now if I only didn’t have to go back to work tomorrow. 

4 More Collages

Well…. tonight is my last hurrah….Vacation is officially over…. I promised myself I’d be in bed by 1:00 am (Let’s see if I can do it)

Anyway…. here are 4 more collages I made this evening…. I’m not sure when I’ll have as much time in the craft studio after tonight….  Back to reality for me….

    

   

 

Productive Few Days

Well, my vacation is coming to an end…. and there are lots more things I would like to accomplish, but alas, the time has run out on me.  A painting project in the house failed…. miserably so it took up a lot of days…. as we had to paint over it……..  My husband feels like the walls are closing in on him… *grin*   It wouldn’t have anything to do with the 5 layers of paint on them would it????!!!!   (Side note:  Don’t ever, ever use Ralph Lauren’s Lava Rock Paint….. it’s HORRRRRRIBLE)

 OK, enough of that………    In between all of that and staying up till 3:30 am every night… I managed to get some art done.  I’m pleased with what I created… so here are a few pictures.

My hubby took me to two stores today…. one being www.absolutelyeverything.com

Yesssss, he took me……..as I take panic attacks driving to places I’m not familiar with….. What a man, wouldn’t trade him in for the world!!

I told the lady the lady that owns the shop that I was moving my bed into the back room…..   I was in HEAVEN……….  I can not tell you how pleased I was having taken the trip up to Topsfield, MA…… this store totallllly ROCKED my world! 

It was soooooooooo cool to walk in there and see LOTS and LOTS of products that local craft stores don’t carry…..  often we have no choice but to order off line at higher prices and pay shipping and handling.

Some of my purchases today were as follows…..

MICRO GLAZE…………. YES, 2 bottles  OK OK, I started off with one…. but I love it so much I had to walk back and go… “ooops, it must have fallen into my basket hunny”….   *evil grin*

Tim’s Distress Crackle Paint………….. YUP, 5 bottles and they have EVERY FREAKING COLOR…..

Hello World!! :)

Hello World,

I seem to have been absent for a while.  Life is hectic at the moment and I haven’t taken any time for “me” which means I’ve neglected my blog…..  Since I’m currently on vacation and suffering again from swollen glands, sinus infection and ear infections I thought I’d sit here quietly and post some of the items I’ve made in the last month or so.  Yes, I’ve managed to grab 30 min. here and there….. not enough time to call it “ME’ time….. as I feel “ME” time is several hours in the craft studio without interuptions…… Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhh how I long for the day that I can just walk in there with a clean slate…… no housework waiting on me, no work, no cooking or responsibilities……  OK OK, this is getting depressing…. LOL

For now, I’ll just post some of my recent works of art.

The Muse with the Kaboose

I seem to be in a bit of a funk…. so many things I want to do and not enough time to do them. Working full time exhausts me!!  When I get home I don’t have the energy to delve into big projects…. Recently while sitting in a funk in the craft studio I decided I wanted to create a Muse Doll….  So I did!!  I enjoyed the process but knew with my personality she was missing something…… hmmm….. what was it??? It didn’t take me long to figure out that I wanted to add an a……. err….. um….. kaboose to my muse….. So I did!!!  LOL   So far I’ve made 3….. One for myself and 2 that I will list on my Etsy Shop.   Hope you get a giggle like I did.

 

 

Out of My Comfort Zone

I’ve been out straight today. Boxed up my entire craft studio, peeled wallpaper, moved boxes into the parlor. Hubby and I are redesigning my “space”…. the little I have.  The room is tiny and I was not utilizing the space as best as I could…. so, I came up with a brain storm………..(He couldn’t run and hide too long…. I found him and put him to work)

Presently, he’s relaxing on the couch and I’m about to show you something I am amazed I made.  Good or bad…. I decided I needed to come out of my comfort zone. By the way…. it felt good!!

I kept certain things out so I could play……… fortunately I have a free desk in the computer room so I sat down about 30 min. ago and tried to do something totally different from what I normally do.  Well… I was pretty much forced to do something different since 99% of my art supplies are boxed up.  LOL

This is the outcome…………..  I kind of like it….. not bad for my first time doing this type of art.   For now, I’ll call her Lucy!
